Types of wallets

Hot Wallet: connected to the Internet, convenient to use, less secure. MetaMask, Trust Wallet. Cold wallet: not connected to the internet, safer. Ledger, Trezor. Paper Wallet: The private keys are on paper – can be burned, stolen, or lost.

The Seed Phrase – the most important

The Seed Phrase (12 or 24 words) is the backup of your wallet. Whoever has access to this expression can recover all assets. Never share it with anyone, never save it in the cloud, and write it down on paper and keep it safe.

Phishing risks

Most common: Phishing sites that imitate Metamask, Ledger, Coinbase and send fake emails. Always check the exact website address before entering details. Never click on links from emails.

Security tips

Activate 2FA (two-step verification) on every exchange. Use unique passwords for each platform. Keep Ledger/Trezor hardware direct from the manufacturer, not second-hand. Bitcoin purchase guide for beginners.
